Graduates

“I have goals I want to achieve and the Silverdale Academy has made me more motivated to achieve them”

Since graduating from the Silverdale Academy Intern Program I have been working in a traineeship at Silverdale. It has been so rewarding being able to apply my knowledge to hands-on jobs and engage with the workers learning from the experience that is all around me. The staff at Silverdale are great and it really makes the learning process that much better.

Thomas Moran - 2023 Summer Program Graduate

Graduates

“It was a fantastic overall look at racing and all the different aspects… The visit to Silverdale Farm was a highlight…”

Since graduating from the Intern Program, I have been riding for Gai Waterhoues & Adrian Bott Racing five mornings a week, and I absolutely love it. I have also been focused on training my off-the-track thoroughbred and continuing his transition into life after racing. Seeing him come into his own and show more of his quirky personality has been super rewarding.

Georgia Gomm - 2023 Summer Program Graduate

Graduates

“I have started working with John Sargent Racing at Randwick. Josh and John have both been so supportive and it is fitting into my routine quite well…”

Thank you for the organisation of the week with all of the speakers and hands-on experience. All of the knowledge and people I have met throughout the course wouldn’t have been possible without your hardwork. Thank you for the assistance in getting me this experience in John… I will keep you up to date on my progress here.”
