Silverdale Farm presents an exceptional draft of fifteen yearlings at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. In just five racing seasons, a number of high-class racehorses have emerged from the Silverdale hills.
Silverdale-born and -bred two-year-old filly Fireburn (Rebel Dane x Mull Over) was crowned Australian Champion Two-Year-Old following her exceptional juvenile season, which saw her claim the Group 2 Sweet Embrace S., Group 1 Golden Slipper-Group 1 Sires’ Produce double and run an honest second in the Group 1 Champagne S. In 2023, Silverdale-bred and -sold two-year-old filly Eneeza (Exceed And Excel x Sweet Sherry) burst onto the scene with victory in the Group 3 Ottawa S. on debut, quickly followed by taking out the Listed Merson Cooper S. the following month and claiming her third stakes win in the Group 2 Percy Sykes S. the following April. Three-year-old filly Autumn Glow made the perfect start to her career with a dominant 2.51l win on debut in August, two weeks later she scored the Group 3 Up And Coming S., she rounded out her spring campaign unbeaten with glory in the Group 2 Tea Rose S. Also bred on-farm and raised on the Silverdale hills, Subterranean (Rebel Dane x Caves) was a pre-Christmas and Group 3-winning juvenile.
Lot 5 – Wild Ruler x Tarabai (filly)
Lot 5 is a beautiful filly by Newgate Farm’s first-season sire, Wild Ruler. She’s out of speedy city winner Tarabai (Sepoy), the half-sister to Group 3-winning Silverdale graduate Kaizad, dual Group 1-placed two-year-old Cornrow and Group 3 performer Socialist. Her dam produced an exceptional Wild Ruler colt this season.
Lot 101 – Home Affairs x Witherspoon (filly)
Lot 101 is a stunning filly by Coolmore’s first-season sire, Home Affairs. Her four-time winning dam, Witherspoon (Exceed And Excel), was Group 3-placed as a two-year-old and is a sister to Group 3 winner in HK Sun Patch and a half-sister to Group 1 CF Orr S. winner Manuel and Group 3 winner, Group 1-placed Taking Aim.
Lot 129 – Ole Kirk x Agent Pippa (colt)
Lot 129 is a powerful colt by Vinery Stud’s Ole Kirk out of Agent Pippa (Demerit). His dam won on five occasions, highlighted by victory in the Group 3 WATC Gimcrack as a two-year-old. There is plenty of speed and juvenile form on his page.
Lot 253 – Rebel Dane x Caves (filly)
Lot 253 is a smooth-moving filly by Group 1 Golden Slipper-producing sire, Rebel Dane. She’s out of Caves (Bernardini), making her a full sister to pre-Christmas two-year-old winner and Group 3-winning two-year-old, Subterranean. Caves has an impressive full sister to this filly at foot.
Lot 290 – I Am Invincible x Courageous Kitty (filly)
Lot 290 is a classy filly by Yarraman Park Stud’s multiple Champion Sire I Am Invincible. She’s out of Courageous Kitty (Fastnet Rock), making her a half-sister to two-year-old winner and stakes-placed Intrepidacious. Her dam is a sister to dual Group 2-winning two-year-old and Group 1 placegetter Anaheed and a half-sister to Listed-placed Farooq. Her dam produced another gorgeous Vinnie filly this season, and all of her foals to race are winners.
Lot 517 – I Am Invincible x Intrepidacious (filly)
Lot 517 is an impressive I Am Invincible filly out of two-year-old winner and stakes-placed Intrepidacious (Shooting To Win). She hails from the talented family of multiple stakes-winning two-year-old and Group 1 Robert Sangster S. victress Rostova, dual Group 2-winning juvenile Anaheed and Listed winner Farooq. She’s the first foal from her dam, who produced a quality filly by Snitzel this season.
Lot 558 – Capitalist x Kentucky Diva (filly)
Lot 558 is a gorgeous filly by Newgate Farm’s Golden Slipper winner Capitalist, out of Kentucky Diva (Fastnet Rock). Her dam is a three-quarter sister to Group 1 Australian Oaks placegetter Believe and a half-sister to Hong Kong Group 3 winner Wonder Kid and stakes winners C’Est Beau La Vie and Wales. Her dam produced an exceptional colt by Maurice this season.
Lot 601 – Captivant x Lipizzan (colt)
Lot 601 is an outstanding colt by Captivant out of speedy two-year-old stakes placegetter Lipizzan (Sebring). He boasts a page steeped with black-type and juvenile form. Lipizzan is the dam of two foals to race, both are winners. She had a beautiful Artorius filly this season.
Lot 623 – Sword of State x Luxe (colt)
Lot 623 is a well-balanced colt from the first crop by Cambridge Stud’s Champion Two-Year-Old, Sword Of State. From a talented family, his stakes-placed dam, Luxe (O’Reilly), is a sister to Miss Rhythmic, the dam of Group 1 winner Belclare.
Lot 764 – Extreme Choice x Paredo (colt)
Lot 764 is a powerful son of Extreme Choice out of stakes-placed Paredo (Better Than Ready). This colt is a three-quarter brother to dual Group 1-placed two-year-old, Don Corleone. His page is littered with stakes winners and strong juvenile form.
Lot 856 – Zoustar x Rotator (filly)
Lot 856 is a stunning filly by Widden Stud’s Zoustar. She’s out of Group 3-placed Rotator (Not A Single Doubt), a half-sister to dual Group winner Positive Peace and stakes-placed Alkaashef. Her dam produced an impressive Maurice filly this season.
Lot 903 – Zoustar x Sense of Hite (colt)
Lot 903 is an outstanding Zoustar colt. His dam is stakes-placed 2YO Sense Of Hite (Street Sense), making him a half-brother to three winners, including G1-placed Quintessa and G2 performer Acrophobic. His dam had an impressive I Am Invincible colt this season.
Lot 979 – Rebel Dane x Spirit Medium (colt)
Lot 979 is an exceptional colt by Group 1 Golden Slipper-producing sire, Rebel Dane. He’s out of 2YO winner Spirit Medium, a half-sister to Group 2 winner Renaissance, Group 2 winner and sire Sessions and stakes winner Haunted. Spirit Medium produced another exceptional colt by Rebel Dane this season.
Lot 1016 – Zoustar x Sweet Scandal (colt)
Lot 1016 is an eye-catching colt by Zoustar out of Group 3 victress Sweet Scandal (Sepoy). His dam is a half-sister to stakes-placed Sir Bacchus, she’s had one foal to race, promising three-year-old colt Stranglehold, who won on debut in September. Sweet Scandal foaled a beautiful filly by multiple Champion Sire Snitzel this season.
Lot 1017 – Snitzel x Sweet Sherry (filly)
Last, but certainly not least, Lot 1017 is a stunning filly by Arrowfield Stud’s multiple Champion Sire Snitzel.
