Silverdale Farm Receives Letter of Support from Destination Sydney Southern Surrounds South

Grant Bloodstock are excited to announce we have received a letter of support from Destination Sydney Surrounds South for the further development of equine facilities at ‘Silverdale Farm’ following submission of Grant Bloodstocks Development Application being lodged with the Wingecarribee Shire Council.

In May 2020, Wingecarribee Shire Council, in partnership with Destination Sydney Surrounds South, announced they are to develop an Agribusiness and Equine Strategy to showcase the Shire’s potential to agritourism and equine operators.

The plan for a Southern Highlands Agribusiness and Equine Strategic Plan was developed by one of the strategic working groups created as part of the Southern Highlands Key Stakeholder Group.

One of the key roles of the Southern Highlands Key Stakeholder Group is to identify untapped growth industries that would be a fit for the Southern Highlands Shire and in turn provide a shot in the arm to the local economy.

The idea behind the Agribusiness and Equine Strategy is to investigate what opportunities and benefits the Shire could offer these two important industries to further establish themselves in the Highlands.

Steve Grant, Grant Bloodstock Director, said: “At our Silverdale facilities, we constantly strive to provide the highest standards to ensure our horses are extremely well cared for. Silverdale Farm is commonly assessed as Worlds Standard. This letter of support from Destination Sydney is a welcome statement of support.”
